I love this little museum. The mural is absolutely beautiful.
Awesome views! You can really see how the battle unfolded here. Cool to see my Alabama compatriots served here.
Great park for viewing the city or the sunset. The only issues were the paid limited parking and park entry fee. Expect to pay about $20 for a trip for two.
Peaceful and memorable, can put yourself in the soldiers shoes while looking out over the city of Chattanooga.
What an amazing park. A small but nice visitor center had an amazing original mural painting that was incredible. An informative video that explains critical facts about the battle and how it played out is also played there. It does cost 5 dollars to get in the park but it is well worth it. If you just like nature and incredible views, the park has many trails and spectacular views. If you are a history buff, you get all that and some great Civil War history on the “Death Knell of the Confederacy. GPS guidance to the top of the hill can seem confusing, and the roads are small and twisty, but it will get you there and it’s worth it.
